chi-town and chap heezy

since it took me so long to be satisfied with my first post, i'm posting twice today so i can share some pictures unrelated to adoption.

first, jamie and i took a trip to chicago last weekend. jamie was supposed to row in an exhibition for the international olympic committee, but that was cancelled because the sailors threatened to protest. but the trip was free, and we got to stay in a swanky hotel on michigan avenue, so we lucked out no matter how you look at it. plus, jamie still got to row. the weather was a little crazy. we started out on a walk down michigan avenue that ended up being a 2 and a half hour adventure complete with high winds and sleet that literally pierced the skin on our faces.

i did decide, however, that chicago is superior to new york city. and it has a lot of revolving doors. and i really can't wait to go back.

also, jamie and i were lucky enough to be in chapel hill monday night for the big tar heel win over michigan state. jamie wore a carolina t-shirt, my team won by 17 points, i got to sing the alma mater with a bunch of crazy tar heels, and we survived franklin street. a good time was had by all.

  1. so glad to find someone else who agrees that Chicago is the mother of all cities. next time you're there try out enology - it's a wine and chocolate bar on michigan. out of all my chicago adventures, i can still taste that one...
